Freed up by Frank Auerbach

No Life Classes yet so I've started looking at some unresolved monochrome drawings. Attacking them with scene painters charcoal and a big eraser.

As Frank Auerbach says: “Finally after all this reworking, and in spite of all this activity of absorption and internalisation, the images emerge in an atmosphere of freedom.”
