Equine Bronze Update

A recently completed commission for Lloyd's of London.

My brief was to create a sculpture which would be cast in bronze and turned into a trophy for 'The Julian Lloyd Award'. This award is to be presented each year to their most successful young Bloodstock Underwriter. Lloyd's insure many of the worlds Racehorses and Julian, who sadly died last year, was a major player in the industry. (He also owned a number of my Racing paintings.)

The beautiful base in English walnut is by Paul Hodgkiss Designs, probably Scotland's finest designer in wood, and the bronze casting is by the excellent Powderhall Bronze Art Studio of Edinburgh.

All in all a truly Scottish affair!
