In this new drawing it's the eraser that's done most of the work...
I've always admired the work of artist Frank Auerbach - in many of his drawings the surface has been all but destroyed by the intensity of his working. "The final image is the summation of the many attempts that made it possible."
Conclusion, scratched and a bit grubby, but at least with some evidence of honest endeavour!
